Netflix's new original series 'Sing On!' is a karaoke competition. Not your regular drunk-and-having-fun kind of competition but the one that gets you money. Each episode of the 8-part series begins with contestants who stand in a semi-circle and each of them sings a line or two of a song. A singer is eliminated at the end of every round. After five such rounds, two finalists compete for the money they bagged while singing for the previous rounds.

In Episode 5, we see Emma takes the cake. She wins a total of $42,300, with which, as she said earlier, will buy a bigger house to accommodate more cats and dogs. "I would love to get myself a bigger apartment in New York so I can have even more cats and a couple of dogs," she said.

Emma has been confident from the start and she cemented that fact by winning three of six rounds. But Carlos and Jamie gave her stiff competition.

It was clear that everyone was vying for the cash prize and no one was ready to give up. All of their performances matched with the theme - Rock - and brought the audience alive. Two of the tracks the contestants performed to 'Livin' on a Prayer' by Bon Jovi and Kelly Clarkson's 'Since you've been gone' received the most cheers.

Liz too was a fighter. Despite having low scores with regards to how accurate her pitch was and if it aligned with the song's original pitch, she made it to the top three and gave Jamie and Emma a tough challenge. She was visibly upset for not living up to her own expectations. At one point, she agreed that she was under pressure but will make the cut hopefully since she is a bathroom singer.

While the ladies entertained thoroughly, host Tituss Burgess was not too far behind with his energetic and vibrant anchoring style. He ensured that the singers were pumped and ready to move on to the next round while ensuring that the ones eliminated didn't leave the stage dejected.

The show made some high-stakes by offering additional cash prizes that every singer can win. This was encouraging, especially for those who were eliminated a couple of rounds before the finale took place.
