'Elite' fans feel Guzman and Nadia are made for each other, but will Lu give him up or fight for her 'love' in season 2?
If there is one character that we would not want to cross paths with at Las Encinas, it will be the incredibly witty, wealthy and ruthless Lucrecia (played by Danna Paola). Lu, as 'Elite' fans call her, has been a very vibrant character on the series from the start.
In fact, Lu and Guzman's romance was one of the first relationships introduced to the audience amidst all the other drama on the show. She is the mean badass girl of the school and everyone generally stays away from coming in between her and Guzman.
The show, which showcases students belonging to the most elite and wealthy populace of Spain, makes her character a wild personality who makes a statement with just her look. Lu for sure knows how to make everyone know that she is not someone small.
Guzman and Lu have a relationship that is evidently elitist as both of them belong to the elite group. No love is seen between the two since it was more of a status and lust situation. Lu is a loud character in the series who loves attention. Her role signifies the true character of a rich spoilt brat who knows that she can get whatever she wants at the drop of the hat.
Her relationship with Guzman is something that she does not want to compromise on. However, the entry of new students Samuel (Itzan Escamilla), Christian (Miguel Herrán) and Nadia (Mina El Hammani) gave Lu a new situation to target. Guzman was beginning to show interest in Nadia. Lu is possessive about Guzman and despite all her ruthlessness, him leaving her for another student would just break her heart. She has to be the center of attention no matter who comes or what happens. Even her motto is "Its either my way or the highway".
Fans, meanwhile, are rooting for a relationship between Lu and Samuel as they feel she needs to be given a reality check. Samuel's subtle persona may make her realize the true values of life and that money or status doesn't define a person.
On the other hand, fans are also shipping Guzman with Nadia. In season one, they shared a lot of silent and indirect feelings for each other and fans believe they compliment each other perfectly. The two have similar tastes and their relationship looks promising for the show's future.
Lu, however, won't make it easy for that to happen as she can't let Guzman go. For her, it is more of a competition she needs to stay on top off rather than a fight for love.
Will Guzman leave Lu and move on with Nadia for good, or will Lu leave Guzman and get into another relationship? We will know when season two returns this September on Netflix.
