'NCIS' Season 17 Episode 7: Nick and Ellie's flirting has fans extremely thrilled after 'waiting for three seasons'

It happened! After almost six years of subtle tension and witty repertoire between the two of them, Nick Torres and Ellie Bishop have finally given in to the undeniable chemistry and started... flirting actively? Well, it's all very new and somewhat still not blatantly out there, but who knew Nick dating an older woman whose very hot and adult son started hitting on Ellie was going to be all it took for the two NCIS dorks to realize their potential as a couple!? Regardless, it's all gradually evolving and fans can't really keep calm about it.
Nick Torres recently started dating an older woman, as was revealed in the previous episode, and this time we learn that this older woman's son isn't all that young either. After assuming his new girlfriend's son was a child, Nick was absolutely flustered when the son - Ricky - turned out to be a very hot Sargeant who immediately had the eyes for Ellie. The two went on a double date with Nick and his girlfriend, and even though Nick made it sound like he saw Ellie as a 'sister', fans took notice of the pattern that resonated with NCIS' it-couple from the past - Ziva and Tony.

Taking to Twitter, a fan shared: "first tony and ziva being referred to as “siblings” when they were best friends IN LOVE back in the day, and now nick and ellie falling into the same pattern... i’m getting too old for this #ncis." As for other fans, the pattern didn't matter as much as the adorable signs of jealousy and protectiveness Nick and Ellie showed towards each other in this episode. "Not to be a boomer but i’m watching ncis and ellie and nick are jealous of each other’s relationships and IM SO READY FOR THEM TO GET TOGETHER! IVE BEEN WAITING THREE SEASONS, i’m tired of the slow burn. i want content already," enthused a visibly thrilled fan in a tweet among many similar.
The episode ended with Nick and his new lady breaking up, and even though the NCIS team member liked labeling the reason behind it as being 'over-protective', a fan noted: "Dammit Nick the word you were looking for was jealous. Also his ex totally dumped him because she saw how him and Ellie were."
So buckle up - it's gonna be a bumpy and entertaining ride to come!
