Spoilers for Season 12 Epsiode 3: 'Angry Karen'

It's a good day to be a Densi fan in the 'NCIS: LA' subculture. There was the good ole' banter between the married couple, with Deeks demanding a TikToks instead when Kensi updated him on a case. But then there was the inevitable discussion about Deeks being absolutely out of things to do and soon arose the prospect of him becoming a full-time NCIS-agent and not split his time between this branch and the LAPD. So the answer to the questions fans might be asking about whether Deeks did become a special agent or not is no, he hasn't yet, but fans sure are rooting for him to!

It's been over a decade of Deeks being a pro at the job - armed with both quick thinking, humor, and endless bad jokes, and he still hasn't been made a special agent despite him dog just as much as Sam and Callen. While the two other men go hunting down the worst of the bad guys, Deeks gets left behind looking after the scraps. Probably why he gets time to babysit fellow agents during their heartbreak, or just whine and crib to his wife Kensi, who as she admits in this episode, does enjoy the time apart.

Titled 'Angry Karen', Epsidoe 3 of Season 12 sees "Nell send Sam to meet an informant who plans to blow the whistle on a military secret; Kensi and Deeks debate whether or not to buy their first house." As this debate comes up and Deeks' move to Iowa as the LAPD service comes up, the topic of him becoming a special agent comes up. And picking up on that, fans took to Twitter to express their excitement at finally seeing that happen.

"Do you know how long we've been waiting for Deeks to officially become Special Agent Deeks? Make it happen!" wrote a fan on Twitter. Another added: "it’s ab time deeks became a full time ncis agent. it should’ve happened earlier." Others also empathized with the man, saying: "Poor Deeks.....I want to see him finally become a full time agent though. It's about time!" And picking up on his wife's tone and assertion, fans also tweeted: "I agree with Kensi. Deeks needs to be a full time NCIS Agent. Technically he should’ve done that a LONG time ago so he doesn’t have to be the Liason splitting with NCIS and the LAPD."

But while Deeks position as a special agent is under debate, Kensi takes her time to remind a party she's interrogating that she's not 'Miss Blye', but 'Special Agent Blye' so that's something of a win.

'NCIS: Los Angeles' airs on Sundays at 8 am only on CBS.
