Who is Lori Vallow?

Lori was born on June 26, 1973, in San Bernadino, California, as Lori Norene Cox. Lori first got married at the age of 19. She married her third husband with whom she had a daughter, Tylee. Lori married a fourth time in 2006 to Charles Vallow. Lori and Charles adopted Joshua Jaxon (JJ). Lori's children Tylee and JJ reportedly vanished in September 2019. Just two months later, Lori married Chad in Hawaii. Lori was a former game show contestant. She has also won a Mrs Texas Beauty Pageant Queen title. Notably, Lori was a cult follower. She has also worked as a hairdresser.

Additionally, Lori along with her fifth husband, Chad, was a self-published author of doomsday-themed books. She was then arrested in February 2020 after failing to produce proof of life for her missing children to the Madison County Prosecutor's Office in January. Lori's family members have accused her of being part of a 'doomsday cult' with her husband. No one has ever imagined that a mother possessed by 'money, power and sex' can kill her own kids. Furthermore, Lori has also been connected to the mysterious deaths of three people, including her brother.

Lori Vallow has been married FIVE times

Lori has been married five times over the years. She got married for the first time in 1992 to her high school sweetheart, Nelson Yanes. But their marriage ended with divorce and they shared no kids. However, Lori tied the knot with William Lagioia In 1995. Lori and William shared a son Colby Ryan. Their marriage was also short-lived and they got divorced in 1996. Lori married third time with Joseph Ryan, in 2001 and got divorced in 2004. Lori and Joseph shared a daughter Tylee. However, Ryan died in 2018 of an apparent heart attack, which authorities confirmed after looking into his death.

However, an audio recording of Lori surfaced in which she said, "I went through a lot of years of this kind of hard stuff, and I was going to murder him." Lori continued in the audio, "I was going to kill him, like the scripture says. Like Nephi killed, just to stop the pain and to stop him coming after me and to stop him coming after my children." Lori then married Charles in 2006, and the couple adopted JJ at the suggestion of Charles' sister Kay Woodcock, who had been caring for the boy at the time. Charles filed for divorce from Lori in 2019, citing her religious beliefs and alleged threats against his life if he got in the way of what he said she believed to be her mission. Lori exchanged vows with her fifth husband Chad in November 2019, weeks after her kids disappeared.

What happened to Lori Vallow's children?

Lori's kids JJ and Tylee mysteriously disappeared in September 2019. However, Lori didn't file any missing complaints until months later. JJ was enrolled at Kennedy Elementary School on September 3, 2019. But he was unenrolled nearly three weeks later after Lori claimed she was homeschooling him. Tylee was last seen in Yellowstone Park on September 8, 2019, on a family trip with her mom and uncle Alex Cox, who was also found dead in 2019. When the investigation of her kids was going on, Lori told the police that her children were staying with a family friend in Arizona. However, detectives soon determined Lori lied after JJ's grandparents, Kay and Larry Woodcock, called for a welfare check on JJ, and Tylee after the children hadn't been seen since September 2019. Lori and Chad abruptly vacated their home when police returned to question them the next day. Lori and Chad, who had fled to Kauai, Hawaii, were arrested for failing to meet a court order to produce the children. JJ and Tylee's remains were found buried on Chad's property on June 9, 2020.
