After spending one entire day partying at her house warming party, Whitney Thore knew it was time for her to get serious and back in action. Before Whitney made a move to Charlotte, she and her personal trainer Jessica thought that Whitney would be a good candidate for the weightlifting competition.

However, Whitney was always worried that her weight would turn out to be a problem for her. Despite this, Jessica was the one who kept pushing the reality star and motivated her to try her hand at it. It is after this that Whitney decided to get into weightlifting and eventually, she fell in love with it. Whitney even took part in a competition that was organized for charity and she was placed fifth.

Looking at how Whitney performed, Jessica knew she had to bring in someone else to train Whitney better. Jessica suggested that she call a professional to help Whitney with her form. At first, Whitney thought that it was a bad idea but she soon changed her mind.

Jessica introduced Whitney to a trainer who had been training for weightlifting for a long time. He told Whitney that he had worked with many plus size women before and informed her that the woman who won the title last time weighed as much as Whitney.

Whitney was happy to hear this because for a long time she expected her weight to be an issue when it came to weightlifting. Luckily, that was not the case. Without wasting any second the two got into training mode.

Whitney was advised how she could make her form better and she could see the difference in the training she had before and the one she was having at the moment. Looking at how motivated and positive everyone was about Whitney taking part in a serious competition, she knew that she had to put in a lot of effort to prove everyone that she has what it takes to do weight lifting.

'My Big Fat Fabulous Life' airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm ET on TLC.
