Whitney Thore and Buddy Bell have been best friends for a long time, but their relationship has been in a stressful state for quite some time. Whitney revealed Buddy was not too pleased to hear she was engaged to Chase Severino. He seemed to question them getting engaged too soon into their relationship. Despite her best friend not approving of her relationship, Whitney decided to focus on her fiance and nothing else. In the latest episode, which aired on November 17, Whitney and Buddy get into a heated argument that makes her wonder if Buddy is jealous. The fight erupted when Buddy stopped Whitney from climbing a log as he thought she might get hurt. However, Whitney made it clear that she saw the log as a challenge that she wanted to overcome. Since the two had a different outlook, it did not take long enough for them to get into a fight. Buddy decided to go out for a long walk. When Whitney realized that it was three hours since he went.

Fortunately, things cooled down when she noticed Buddy was back. The two sat down and decided to have a conversation. Whitney explained she wanted to take up the challenge as Buddy's words triggered her. She further explained that as a fat girl, she always wants to prove to people that nothing is impossible because of a person's weight.

As the conversation went on, Buddy explained that his thoughts were not in a proper state. He admitted there had been moments when frustration would take over him. Hearing this, Whitney advised him that it would be good for him to seek therapy and find out what was bothering him. Buddy admitted there were times when he would lose control as his need to be protective would take a major part of his personality. He further added that it would go from 0 to 60 within seconds. Whitney consoled him and hinted it was time to take action for what was bothering him.

The conversation eased things out between the two. Buddy admitted he would look into a solution for his problems while Whitney promised to stay by his side. Will Whitney and Buddy's different outlook pose a threat to their relationship in the future?
