COLUMBUS, GEORGIA: Patrick Macon, the latest addition to the 'My 600-lb Life' series, has already angered his fans with his lack of motivation to lose weight. What irritated them even more was the discovery of a Confederate flag in his home, which prompted many to call out the TLC personality.

Patrick weighs 657 pounds, and his weight has become an impediment in many areas of his life. And, as Dr Younan Nowzaradan says on the show, if Patrick doesn't take the program seriously, he shouldn't bother coming to it. Patrick's life was already full before he started his weight loss quest. Outside of 'My 600-lb Life,' Patrick is married and has a daughter. And these are two of the main reasons why he wants to change his lifestyle in his episode. Aside from the main storyline of the TLC show, Patrick has become the gossip of the town for all the wrong reasons.

Fans spot Confederate flag at Patrick Macon's house

Patrick, who weighs 657 pounds and is tired of being a burden to his wife Amanda and daughter Haley, seeks help from Dr Younan Nowzaradan, an bariatric specialist in Houston. Patrick has to hear the harsh reality from his doctor after barely sticking to the diet he was given by Nowzaradan and gaining even more weight in six months.

Fans were already outraged by Patrick's approach to his weight reduction quest. To make matters worse, they discovered Patrick's adultery, which led them to wonder if his wife had even forgiven him and was now overfeeding him in retaliation.

Things worsen for Patrick after viewers spotted a Confederate flag in his home, causing many to wince and call him on it.

'Wasn’t a fan but that just seals it'

After noticing the flag at his place, a fan quipped, "I don't know why but I can smell the confederate flag somewhere......" Another one added, "knew this man would somehow talk entitled to dr now. whole fan base gonna hate this dude lmao again that confederate flag was all i needed to see." They further continued, "not the confederate flag plaque to welcome ppl @ their door. by the way he talked i wasn’t shocked tho."

On Reddit, a viewer wrote, "the confederate flag on the door of his house tells me everything I need to know about this man." Adding how they weren't fan of Patrick to begin with but somehow the flag made it worse, a viewer commented, "Anyone else catch a glimpse of that confederate flag on their front door sign?? You could only see half of it in the show when they’re leaving for Texas the first time but… good lord, really?? I mean, I already wasn’t a fan but that just seals it." Another person wrote, "That's all I really need to know to judge these people. SMH."
