BTS has kicked off the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards with a bang, taking home the Best Group and Best K-Pop awards prior to the live show.

In a pre-recorded acceptance clip, group leader RM said, "Shout out to ARMY and MTV Video Music Awards for giving us this honor two years in a row," as the rest of the group cheered on. Fellow member Jungkook added, "We're just trying to make music that can comfort you."The group has most recently made a comeback with their English-language single 'Dynamite', which they hoped would bring their fans joy in these quarantined times.
