NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Love begins to brew between John Smith (Donald Grover) and Jane Smith (Maya Erskine) in the third episode of 'Mr and Mrs Smith'.

The Prime Video series follows the story of two stranger spies who are assigned a couple of espionage missions to be carried out while pretending to be a regular married couple.

Episode 2 ended with Jane and John failing at their second mission with a warning that implies they can't fail more than thrice in total.

The third episode begins with the duo landing in Italian Dolomites for another task.

John Smith and Jane Smith's fake relationship begins to turn real

The third mission brings Jane and John closer and it's the first of many things for the duo. From sharing the same bed to going skiing together, their intimacy grows at an emotional level.

When John finds himself caught in a situation that could have easily been avoided, Jane becomes concerned for him. Her worry goes beyond a mere colleague's concern; it resembles the type of anxiety girlfriends experience when their partners fail to respond to their messages.

There's a certain level of comfort reached in a relationship when you can openly share bodily functions, like the ability to fart in front of your partner. Jane and John have indeed reached that level of ease and familiarity in their relationship.

Is everything rosy for Jane and John from here onwards?

For John and Jane, things would be anything but rosy as the love between them hasn't blossomed under normal circumstances.

The duo, put together on life-risking missions, got closer while near each other 24*7. What started with physical intimacy at first, turned into care and affection in no time.

But how long will the love last? John and Jane know nothing about each other, not even each other's real names. Will this relationship survive through the test of time and the uncertainties that come with their profession?

Will John's constant communication with his mother compromise their mission? And what would be the fate of their newfound love if they are instructed to part ways by the company?

'Mr and Mrs Smith' is now streaming on Prime Video.
