Spoilers for Episode 6 of ‘Money Heist’ Season 4

A merciless Gandia (José Manuel Poga) has finally got his hands on Nairobi (Alba Flores) and he’s determined to have the robbers in the Bank of Spain surrender, even if that could cost his own life. Meanwhile, Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri) is trying to connect the dots to make sense of Raquel’s (Itziar Ituño) altered behavior, which helped The Professor (Alvaro Morte) evade Angel (Fernando Soto) and the team.

The gang members are left with no choice but to surrender when Gandia threatens to kill Nairobi if they tried working tricks.

Besides the ongoing war between the thieves and the head of security, Episode 6 of ‘Money Heist’ Season 4, through one of Nairobi’s flashbacks, reveals that she had convinced The Professor to father her child.

The episode which begins with bloodshed, takes deep dives into the relationship the gang members share with one another, which also explains to a large extent the emotional trauma The Professor has been experiencing ever since the second heist began.

While an inpatient Alicia is close to flipping out, owing to Raquel’s resistance towards the truce, Tamayo (Fernando Cayo) seeks pleasure in watching Gandia take the matter into his hands and even kill the robbers in the pretext of self-defense, without keeping the police force informed about his orders.

And, when the bitter reality wakes The Professor up, he enlists Marsella’s (Luka Peros) help in framing a plan that could hit the police force hard for their treatment of his loved ones.

Using his manipulative ways, Gandia makes the robbers believe that he would set Nairobi free if they came to negotiate, only to shoot her in the head. When Nairobi falls dead, Denver (Jaime Lorente) throws a grenade into the room which Gandia had stormed off to.

Episode 6 ends with a major cliffhanger teasing a bigger war following the events that unfolded inside the Bank of Spain, besides a lot of uncertainty surrounding Gandia’s death.

Maybe, The Professor would have still spared his enemies if they hadn’t played the dirty games. But, now that he has lost another crucial member of the gang, who he had also grown strangely close to in the recent past.

While Lisbon’s fake execution triggered the robbers’ DEFCON 2 plan, the demise of yet another valuable member is indicative of a bigger threat that awaits the police.

‘Money Heist’ Season 4 is available to stream on Netflix.
