Apart from its unbeatable quirkiness, ABC’s hit sitcom ‘Modern Family’ has presented us with several moments that left us in splits throughout the eleven seasons. Marking the end of an era, the decade-old comedy series will be concluding in less than a week, as ‘Modern Family’ Season 11 is scheduled to premiere on April 8. Bidding farewell to our beloved characters who we grew up with isn’t going to be easy.

Therefore, here we have put together a few funny moments from the long-loved series, which could help brush your memory and evoke nostalgia ahead of the finale.

When Cam first introduced Lily

Mitchell Pritchett, Lily and Cameron Tucker (ABC)

‘Modern Family’ grabbed our attention from the very beginning itself. The pilot episode saw Cameron Tucker (Eric Stonestreet) using his extravagant ways to introduce his and Mitchell Pritchett’s (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) adopted daughter Lily to the rest of the family and to date, it has been one of the most talked-about moments of the show, which comes across as funny even a decade later.  And, what are the odds we might get to witness something similar in the finale as well?

Lily’s lessons on baby-making

Alex Dunphy and Lily Tucker-Pritchett (ABC)

One couldn’t easily deal with Lily-Tucker-Pritchett, owing to her sharp mind and a tongue that spews words time and again which have never been so well accepted by anybody on the other end. However, we got to see the best of her when she was a mere child and went on to give the rest of the children of ‘Modern Family’ a lesson on baby-making, which had awkwardness written all over it.

When Phil's works scare tactics on Claire

Phil Dunphy (ABC)

Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell) may be a magician, but Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen) has always outshone with her own tricks. However, in the latest season, during Halloween, Phil manages to lure his smart wife into a trap planned so well that Claire not only falls for it but accepts her defeat gracefully. Undeniably, this will always be one of the most remembered moments from the series.

Phil and Claire’s failed roleplay

Claire Dunphy (ABC)

Although it isn’t easy to strike balance between romance and responsibilities while having to parent three children, the Dunphy couple for years has managed to keep the spark alive by indulging in their annual roleplay as a part of their Valentine’s Day celebrations. However, one such date goes terribly wrong when Claire suffers a wardrobe malfunction just when she was crossing paths with Jay Pritchett (Ed O' Neill) and Gloria-Delagado-Pritchett (Sofia Vergara) who were also present at the venue for the occasion.

Jay gets botox

Jay Pritchett (ABC)

Jay has always had complexity issues about being seen with Sofia; his vivacious young wife with a body one could kill for. However, when he decided to make some changes in his appearance to keep up with his gorgeous wife, what Gloria gets in return is a man with a half swollen face who she never fell in love with. Although the scene tugs at your heartstrings, Jay going to hell and back to impress his wife makes for an interesting watch.

When Claire couldn’t accept Gloria

Gloria Delgado Ptitchett, Phil and Claire Dunphy (ABC)

Although Gloria came to be accepted by nearly everyone in the family soon after making an entry into their lives, Claire couldn’t treat her as her father’s wife, let alone as her stepmother. And it only gets worse for Claire when she learns that Phil is also attracted to Gloria. Although it was an extremely awkward moment for the couple, it made for a great watch for the viewers and we could never forget how Gloria became a “Coal Digger” following that.

'Modern Family' Season 11 finale airs on April 8 on ABC.
