‘Modern Family’ Season 11 Episode 8 will see Dunphys embroiled in another family drama as Dylan’s hippie mom moves in

With Jerry’s presence at the Dunphy’s, we can look forward to watching a bit of DeDe as well. And of course, the coming together of DeDe and Dylan’s hippie mother is something to look out for!

The Dunphy household of ‘Modern Family’ recently expanded with two new additions and the entertainment factor has only gone up several notches, thanks to their never-ending drama, fights and day-to-day experiences. As ABC’s award-winning sitcom is approaching the end of its last season, the creators have decided to introduce a few new characters, which we’ll get to explore in the upcoming episodes.

In episode 8 of season 11, the Dunphys embroil in yet another family drama, as Dylan’s mother sees herself in their residence. In the previous episode ‘The Last Thanksgiving’, the Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker families came together to celebrate the annual holiday, dealing with issues on their respective ends.

While Jay (Ed O Neill) finally confronts Phil (Ty Burrell) about his overprotectiveness of his children, which has inflicted a lot of pain on the latter, Sofia (Sofia Vergara) tries to talk Claire into resuming her career. We also saw Mitch (Jessie Tyler Ferguson) and Cam (Eric Stonestreet) stage a breakup only to see which one of them receives the most support from their friends.

Episode 9 is all set to present another interesting character before us! Titled ‘Tree’s A Crowd’, Modern Family’s next offering will chronicle the Dunphys’ struggles as they take the responsibility of hosting Dylan’s mother in their house, which is already thronged.

Just when they try to figure their way around the unexpected hippie guest, Claire’s lonely step-father also pays a visit, leaving them with no choice but to clamor for some peace. Through the ten seasons, we have gained a fair understanding of Jay’s wife and Claire’s mother DeDe (Shelley Long).

Undeniably, she’s one of the most complicated members of the family, whose actions have been found hard to deal with. However, we ought to credit DeDe for her eccentricity, which has always served as a breath of fresh when the sitcom’s main characters are dragged down by their monotonous regularity.

With Jerry’s presence at Dunphy’s, we can look forward to watching a bit of DeDe as well. And of course, the coming together of DeDe and Dylan’s hippie mother is something to look out for!
