Michael Mann's crime classic 'Heat 2' in the works with Adam Driver starring as Neil McCauley
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Since the release of 'Heat' in 1995, the film has received positive reviews and has been loved by critics. 'Heat' is considered the best heist film ever made, with a great cast and an amazing script. Although the film's sequel seemed impossible at the time, it may be possible. Warner. Bros. was in conversation with Michael Mann, author of the best-selling book that was adapted into a cinematic masterpiece. After almost three decades, Michael Mann is ready to take the director's chair for 'Heat 2.'
Although the details of 'Heat 2' aren't out yet, there is one name that has popped out to star as a young Neil McCauley, who was played by Robert De Niro in 1995 'Heat.' Adam Driver, one of the stars of Mann's next film 'Ferrari,' has been in talks to play the career criminal in 'Heat 2.'

'It’s going to be one large movie'
Almost three decades later, working alongside fellow writer Meg Gardiner, Michael Mann undertook his first major literary endeavor and co-wrote 'Heat 2.' It will serve as both prequel and sequel for the first movie. While talking to Empire, Mann shared that 'Heat 2' has been his passion project ever since the first movie was released. He also shared his plans to create 'Heat 2' into a franchise. Mann continued to share his views on the sequel and that how people are still talking about the first movie, creating it into a big talking point like a 'Heat Universe.'
'Don’t ruin a classic'
Fans have seperate opinions about the movie and seems a little unsure if they want the sequel to the classic hit.
