Robert De Niro spotted with his reclusive fifth child, 24-year-old son Elliot, in NYC
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On Friday, March 17, Robert De Niro, 79, was photographed having a great father-son bonding moment with his son Elliot, 24, in the New York City. The paparazzis captured the father-son duo taking a casual stroll and chatting before entering a building.
Elliot is an accomplished tennis player and the fifth of De Niro's six children. The two-time Oscar winner also has sons namely, Raphael, Julian and Aaron, who are twins, and Elliot, as well as daughters Drena, and Helen. He shares Elliot with ex-wife Grace Hightower.

For their stroll, Elliot and De Niro wore casual outfits. With a black jacket, black sweatpants, and a collared shirt, the 'Meet the Fockers' star kept himself warm. He also donned a gray and black scarf, as well as a black beanie. A few inches taller than him, his son sported a red jacket.
Elliot chose not to pursue acting like his father did. He is a skilled tennis player nevertheless, and he even made an appearance in a commercial for the Special Olympics' 50th anniversary. Elliot has autism, and according to his father's previous statements, he and his mother, Hightower, enrolled him in the activity to assist him deal with his special needs. In the past, De Niro and Hightower had admitted that their children were a blessing.
Robert De Niro's children
Elliot is one of De Niro and Hightower's four children and the two separated in 2018 after 20 years of marriage. De Niro has twins with his ex-girlfriend, model Toukie Smith, and shares Raphael with his first wife, Diahnne Abbott. He is also father to twins he shares with Grace. Moreover, De Niro adopted Drena when she was a young child and she is Abbott's biological child from a previous marriage.
De Niro adores his six children, but that doesn't imply that parenting them has always been easy. When asked about fatherhood, De Niro told US Weekly about his mixed emotions! On Wednesday, April 24 2019, at the Tribeca Film Festival opening night presentation of 'The Apollo', the Oscar winner remarked, "I love my children, simply being with them. It's challenging. You adore your kids and have fun with them at times, but you also want to kill them at other times” The actor continued, "Then you forget about the bad moments when you have the beautiful moments."
De Niro talks about Elliot
Talking about Elliot's journey as a tennis player, De Niro once shared, "At times, he wasn't too crazy about it." The actor acknowledged in a video for ESPN that his mother was excellent at pushing him and wanting him to be physical and work out. Hightower continued, "He has discovered, 'Well, I can do this.'" She added, "It has helped him socially," but 'The Godfather' star interrupted her again. “It helps him be more confident when he sees that he’s actually good at this,” he noted. De Niro added, “That’s the best self-motivator one can have. He’s gonna feel better about himself, which he does. So, it’s a win-win for everybody, especially [Elliot].”
