Foster The People is an American indie pop band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 2009. The group consists of frontman Mark Foster, lead guitarist Sean Cimino, keyboardist Isom Innis, and drummer Mark Pontius. A year after the group's started in 2009, Foster The People's most popularized hit 'Pumped Up Kicks' became a viral success. That song and their debut studio album 'Torches' earned the band three Grammy Award nominations.

The Knocks is a US electronic music duo consisting of Ben "B-Roc" Ruttner and James "JPatt" Patterson. Their music is an infectious mix of electronic, future funk, EDM, and nu-disco. The Knocks are most commonly known for their singles 'Classic' (featuring the duo Powers), the collaboration with Matthew Koma, 'I Wish (My Taylor Swift)', and 'Kiss The Sky' (featuring Wyclef Jean). Their debut album, '55', released in 2016 and their second album, 'New York Narcotic', released in 2018. Concept

'Melody & Silence' is comprised of four tracks — 'Bittersweet Symphony', 'Devil's Haircut', 'South Side', and a new 'Sunrise Version' of the 2020 collaborative single with Foster The People 'All About You'. Last week, the musicians shared an exclusive inside look at the recording process for 'Bittersweet Symphony' from their at-home studio space. The track is actually a cover of the famous song of the same name by The Verve. Over on The Knocks Instagram, the duo captioned a clip of the recording with "Us and @Fosterthepeople reimagined one of our favorite songs of all time, 'Bittersweet Symphony'! BONUS: not only is this one of the greatest songs ever recorded, it was also the end credits song for 'Cruel Intentions'."
