LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Apple TV+ released all the episodes of the new superhero series titled 'Me' simultaneously, on July 12, 2024, allowing viewers to have a binging marathon over the weekend.

Comprising ten episodes with an average runtime of 25-30 minutes, the series revolves around a 12-year-old boy named Ben (Lucian-River Chauhan), who grapples to adjust to his new family and new school after his mother remarries.

Amid the bullying at school and the complex family dynamics at home, Ben wakes up with a superpower one day and has no idea what to do with it. He then seeks companionship from his step-sister Max (Abigail Pniowsky) and together they navigate this new journey ahead.

Amid Ben's own struggles to find an identity of his own, he gets embroiled in a town's mystery.

Yates Skurk (Tyriq Withers) has been the only shapeshifter before Ben who is set on a path of revenge after he failed to graduate. He is now stealing other superheroes of their powers to eventually get to Carter (Amanda Reid) who holds the greatest power of all.

In Episode 10, Yates takes up several forms until he finally gets Ben in isolation. Before Ben can react, Yates switches his profile with Ben and knocks him unconscious.

He then visits the school event to catch Carter cleverly. However, Ben arrives just in time and takes the form of Carter.

With two versions of Carter standing in front of him, he gets confused. Meanwhile, Carter's father, Kennedy (Sharif Atkins) also steps in and gets into a hand-to-hand combat with Yates.

Eventually, Ben, Carter, and Morgan (Jessy Yates) are able to defeat Yates by combining their powers.

Yates doesn't die in 'Me' Season 1. He is seen hand-cuffed as Morgan puts him into the van to take him away. When Ben asks where she is taking him, she refuses to reveal.

Carter is finally safe and she tells her father that when she touched Yates, she felt the powers of her mom. She now believes that she can bring her mother back.

Ben has been struggling with an identity crisis throughout the series. By the end, Ben realizes that despite having the superpower to assume any identity, he just wants to be himself.

The last scene shows blue lightning inside him, suggesting that Ben has yet to explore more about his superpowers.
