TXT Soobin returns to 'Music Bank': Where to watch and all about MC duty as fans say 'shut up the king is back'

Soobin, most commonly known as a member of the K-pop boy group TXT aka TOMORROW X TOGETHER is returning to 'Music Bank'. Here's all you need to know about the upcoming episode and Soobin's appearance.

Airdate

There's no long wait here as the new 'Music Bank' episode is airing today, January 5 at 5:00 pm KST. This means US audiences will have to tune in during the early hours, at 3:00 am EST.

Announcement

Taking to their social media during the early hours of February 5, Soobin's label Big Hit Entertainment announced that he will make an appearance on the popular music show. With the addition of the hashtags "#TOMORROW_X_TOGETHER #SOOBIN," Big Hit's announcement on Twitter is in Korean, but it roughly translates to the date and time mentioned above.

Where to watch

'Music Bank' gets broadcast on the South Korean channel KBS2. If you're a viewer outside of South Korea, you can watch the show on KBS World, which is made available to more than 100 countries. The website is allegedly free and requires no registration, but we suggest you check its extent of availability according to your region.

While it isn't clear if Soobin will perform music during his appearance on the show, he will presumably return to his role of Emcee or MC. The K-pop idol has MC'd the series before. Back in July 2020, Soobin began taking on MC duties alongside Oh My Girl’s Arin, as the pair replaced the previous MCs Shin Ye-eun, Choi Bo-min.

What is Music Bank?

A regularly-run music show, 'Music Bank' allows fans to watch incredible performances in awe-inspiring harmony with some of the biggest names in South Korea.  Episodes are filmed at the KBS New Wing Open Hall in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu. Additionally, the show also organizes the global live concert 'Music Bank World Tour' as well as has its own countdown chart, the aptly named K-Chart.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER have also appeared on 'Music Bank' on multiple occasions. Last year, the group appeared on the show to offer live performances of tracks like 'Fairy of Shampoo', 'PUMA', and 'Can’t You See Me?'

Fans are on the edge of their seats in anticipation for the new episode and are excited to see Soobin return to 'Music Bank'. One eager fans asks, "Are we gonna get more MC Soobin???"
