KINGSTOWN, MICHIGAN: 'Mayor of Kingstown' Season 3 Episode 2 has officially dropped on Paramount+, delving deeper into Mike McLusky's (Jeremy Renner) life as he navigates the volatile world of Kingstown. 

'Mayor of Kingstown' Season 3 Episode 1 introduced two key antagonists: Konstantin (Yorick van Wageningen), a Russian mobster, and Merle Callahan (Richard Brake), an Aryan gang leader.

The second episode has now introduced a new character: Anna Fletcher (Paula Malcomson). There's a lot to uncover in 'Mayor of Kingstown' Season 3 Episode 2. So, let's jump in!

Anna Fletcher meets Mike McLusky in 'Mayor of Kingstown' Season 3 Episode 2

'Mayor of Kingstown' Season 3 Episode 2 begins with Mayor Mike McLusky resuming meetings in his office, where he meets with a mother whose son was murdered.

The mother, Anna Fletcher confides in Mike about her son's death. She reveals that the killer was actually a close friend of her son.

Throughout the scene, Anna's behavior raises suspicions. The way she talks and behaves suggests that there may be more to her story than meets the eye.

She informs him that a boy named Greg Stewart was the one who actually killed her son. She describes how Greg maintained an air of innocence, pretending to know nothing about the crime, even going so far as to comfort her in the days following her son's death.

Greg is imprisoned in StoneBrook Prison, but after serving several years of his sentence, the parole board has granted him release. So, Anna requests Mike to intervene in a way that would prolong Greg's sentence and overturn the parole board's decision.

However, the question arises: Why did Anna seek Mike's help? She could have pursued legal action or appealed directly to the authorities at StoneBrook Prison. It's possible that Anna has ulterior motives and intends to harm the McLusky family.

It's also possible that Anna is affiliated with Konstantin's gang and is using this opportunity to get close to Mike, with the intention of betraying him later on. Her seemingly genuine plea for help could be a guise to gain Mike's trust, only to later turn against him.

Mike was unable to revoke Greg's parole. He explains to Anna that Greg had been a model prisoner, following all the rules and behaving well during his time in prison.

Since Mike was unable to help her, Anna might try to cause him problems in the upcoming episode. Her frustration at not achieving her goal could lead her to take drastic actions against Mike.

Is Anna Fletcher a criminal?

In 'Mayor of Kingstown' Season 3 Episode 2, viewers witness a dramatic scene as Anna waits at a bus stop to confront Greg, the boy she claims killed her son. When Greg steps out of the bus, Anna confronts him and fires four shots into his chest.

She didn't think twice before killing him. This incident raises questions about Anna's past and whether she may have a criminal background.

It is possible that Anna sought revenge for her son's death by targeting Greg, but there is also a possibility that Greg may not have been involved in her son's murder. The fact that prison authorities described Greg as a good man during his time in prison raises doubts about his guilt. There are a lot of questions without any proper answers.

It's possible that Anna has a criminal background or is somehow connected to Konstantin's gang. Her actions suggest a willingness to resort to violence and deception, which could pose significant challenges for Mike in the upcoming episodes.

It's possible that Anna may be involved in delivering drugs to prison inmates, especially given the mysterious deaths occurring after people vomited a white substance. Her actions could be part of a larger drug operation within the prison.
