BERLIN, GERMANY: Prime Video's latest release 'Maxton Hall — The World Between Us' narrates an epic story of two star-crossed lovers. James Beaufort (Damian Hardung), the son of a millionaire falls in love with Ruby Bell (Harriet Herbig-Matten), an ambitious girl hailing from a low-income family.

As love blossoms between both, James' father (Fedja van Huêt) forbids him from further seeing her. In Episode 5 of 'Maxton Hall — The World Between Us', James begins to ignore Ruby after his father threatens to destroy Ruby's career and family if they continue their love story.

Despite James' forced detachment, fate has something else planned for them.

At the beginning of the episode, we see Ruby Bell finally getting the recommendation letter to Oxford from her headmaster after she organized a successful donation gala.

Her admission to Oxford is endangered when James's father announces in anger that he can destroy Ruby's career including her dream to go to Oxford. For her sake, James decides to cut ties with her.

Towards the end of the episode, Ruby finally receives an acceptance letter from Oxford. In a heartfelt scene, she finally packs her bags and arrives at the prestigious institute.

Ruby and James' story doesn't end with their academic year at Maxton Hall. While Ruby works her way to get into Oxford, James is forced to go to Oxford as part of the Beaufort tradition.

One of the many privileges of being a Beaufort includes a direct entry to Oxford. Though James expresses resistance, he finally gives in to his parents' demands.

However, upon arrival, James and Ruby's paths cross once again as they are allotted apartments next to each other.

Their awkward encounter sparks curiosity and anticipation about how they'll manage their connection while in such close proximity.

Will James actively pursue Ruby, especially now that he's far from home? Or will he remain steadfast in his choice to forego their love? Answers await in the finale episode.
