BERLIN, GERMANY: Romance, drama, and conflict escalate in Episode 4 of Prime Video's 'Maxton Hall — The World Between Us'.

Love blossoms between James Beaufort (Damian Hardung) and Ruby Bell (Harriet Herbig-Matten), despite the gossip at Maxton Hall and rejection from James' father. The flirting and regular texting brings them closer until James has to decide between his family and Ruby.

James' father comes across the viral picture of James and Ruby from the swimming pool incident. Unhappy with James' attraction towards the girl from the poor background, he asks him to make a choice.

His father wants him to distance himself from Ruby and focus on becoming the next CEO of Beaufort empire. Ahead of the press conference for the launch of the new clothing line, James is forced to skip the fundraising gala.

On his way to the press conference, James, in a moment of reflection, realizes that he doesn't want to be a part of his family's business endeavors.

He decides to attend the Gala in order to be with Ruby while he persuades his sister, Lydia Beaufort (Sonja Weißer) to reap the outcome of her contribution to the business and become the young face of their brand.

Knowing that his father would be furious, James takes the rebellious step to pursue his love. In the final scene, Ruby and James seal their relationship with a passionate kiss.
