MAVERICK IN THE HOUSE! Tom Cruise arrives at 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' studio amid heavy winter rains in LA
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tom Cruise was spotted arriving amid heavy rains at the ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ studio in Hollywood on Friday, February 24. The action star, 60, was seen holding an umbrella as he walked in the rain up to the show’s filming area with his trademark smile plastered on his face. This appearance comes after reports of him burying the hatchet with two-time collaborator Steven Spielberg make the rounds. Cruise is also all set to be honored at the Producers Guild Awards ceremony with the David O Selznick Achievement Award. With this honor, Cruise will join a long list of A-list awardees, including Brad Pitt, Clint Eastwood, Steven Spielberg, and Kevin Feige.
For his lowkey appearance, the actor wore a denim button-up casual shirt along with dark jeans and leather boots as he waved to photographers and greeted them. For his appearance on the talk show, it has been reported by Daily Mail that Cruise will be joined by actress Camila Morrone, who plays a supporting role on the Amazon Prime show ‘Daisy Jones and The Six'.

Tom Cruise and Steven Spielberg's 20-year feud put to rest
Cruise and filmmaker Steven Spielberg have worked together on ‘Minority Report’ and ‘War of the Worlds', with the last of their collaborations released in 2005. The duo has not worked together since feuding over Cruise’s erratic and jumpy behavior on the Oprah Winfrey show where he was supposed to be promoting ‘War of the Worlds'. Spielberg and Cruise further fought when Cruise had taken to slamming actress Brooke Shields for taking antidepressants to treat her postpartum depression.

However, the duo seem to have buried the hatchet as Spielberg appeared to be immensely respectful of Cruise’s work in ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ and had gone so far as to say that the latter had ‘saved Hollywood’s a**’ and “the entire theatrical industry.” Cruise looked humbled at the veteran filmmaker’s praise as the duo continued to embrace each other at the Oscar Nominees Luncheon.
