Suu Khin, the 30-year-old food blogger from Houston, Texas, became a fan-favorite contestant on 'MasterChef: Legends' since day one. After whipping up a delicious Burmese noodle soup and sharing her heartwarming backstory of growing up in Myanmar where people eat for sustenance, both judges and fans couldn't get enough of her.

Suu continued to shine in the competition by acing nearly almost any challenge thrown at her way. Despite having never worked with several ingredients that she was exposed to on the culinary competition show, Suu still sportingly used her imagination and skills to come up with delicious dishes and impress judges. Her ability to take risks by preparing really bold and unique dishes and her humility placed her amongst the top-four home cooks competing in the semifinals. Although Suu managed to clear the semi-finals by dodging the elimination, many fans felt that she should have been sent home instead of Alejandro Valdivia. If you're wondering why, then read on.

For the semi-finals, the home cooks were tasked with the challenge of recreating a legendary chef's signature dish alongside them. The home cook whose dish comes closest to the legend's dish would win the round. There were three rounds and for the first round legendary chef, Nyesha Arrington was roped in. The celebrity chef whipped up pan-seared rib eye with green peppercorn sauce, fine herb salad and pomme puree. The four home cooks- Kelsey Murphy, Autumn Moretti, Suu, and Alejandro, struggled to keep up with the legendary chef and recreate her signature dish. However, Kelsey managed to ace it and was declared safe and earned her spot to compete in the grand finale.

The second celebrity chef that walked into the kitchen was Suzette Gresham. The popular Italian cuisine chef demonstrated her signature dish- squid ink risotto with fried calamari. Although it looks easy the many techniques involved for acing this dish made it one of the most challenging dishes. Autumn, Suu, and Alejandro once again struggled to recreate the dish. But luckily Autumn's Italian heritage helped her navigate the challenge and earn a spot in the finals. Alejandro was so flustered that he ended up nearly ruining Suu's dish by draining his squids over Suu's bowl and Suu managed to fumble her dish by forgetting to plate the tomatoes.

For the final round, Suu and Alejandro had to recreate Gordon Ramsay's dish. Alejandro was sent home due to his overcooked fish. Although Suu's dish was good, many fans felt that she should have been sent home instead of Alejandro as she forgot to plate the tomatoes in the earlier round. They pointed out how another fan-favorite contestant Tay Westberry was sent home for the same reason and felt that it was only fair that even Suu be sent home.

A fan tweeted, "I did not want Alejandro in the finale, but what is fair is fair: back many episodes ago, Tay was eliminated because he missed an ingredient. So did Suu today. Double standards? #masterchef." "#MasterChef I like Suu, but Tay went home for missing an ingredient. I do love seeing Gordon cook.," seconded a fan.

Another fan wrote, "So, I realize the fish was the centerpiece of the dish, but the sauce and flavor is equally important. But are they going to ignore that SUU burned the crap out of that gnocchi? Alejandro caught a raw deal IMO #masterchef." "Terrible choice in Suu. Her plate was NOT better than Alejandro! Shady things are afoot! #MasterChef," expressed a fan.
