Season 11 of 'MasterChef' has been way more intense and challenging than any of the previous seasons. With "Legends" as the theme for Season 11, the select fifteen home cooks had to navigate some very exciting and nerve-wracking challenges that tested their mettle in order to win the coveted $250,000 grand prize, a complete Viking kitchen and kitchen tools and bakeware products from OXO.

Right from the get-go, 'MasterChef: Legends' kicked off with cut-throat competition as there were only fifteen white aprons being handed out this season, as opposed to the usual twenty. At the end of every challenge, one home cook was being sent home, slowly thinning down the numbers. These home cooks had no choice but to put their absolute best foot forward and impress not only the regular judges -- Gordon Ramsay, Aaron Sanchez, and Joe Bastianich -- but also the other legendary celebrity chefs that are featured on the show. Of the fifteen home cooks who managed to get into the 'MasterChef' kitchen, these are the top four home cooks who made their way to the show's semi-finals. Read on to know all about them.

Alejandro Valdivia

Alejandro was the first home cook to receive the coveted white apron on 'MasterChef: Legends'. The 39-year-old professional animal trainer from Atlanta, Georgia, came from humble beginnings. Growing up in Cuba, he witnessed food shortages first hand, which inspired him to take to cooking after the family moved to America in 1994, when his mother won the Visa lottery. His love and passion for cooking can be seen in the way he treats his ingredients and uses his imagination to come up with some lip-smacking signature dishes.

Alejandro struggled really hard to find his footing during the early days of the competition. The 39-year-old has finally managed to get his rhythm back and has been leaving the judges impressed with his beautiful creations. He is also the only male home cook left in the competition. We can't wait to see the rest of Alejandro's journey on the show.

Kelsey Murphy

Kelsey has managed to consistently impress the judges with her impeccable plating style, and her bold play with textures and flavors. This 32-year old physical therapist from Indianapolis, has managed to garner praises even from the most critical judge on the show-Joe Bastianich. After watching Kelsey sit in the top 3 list of every challenge, many fans began touting her as the winner of this season. We will just have to wait and watch to see how she fares on the show.

Autumn Moretti

Since day one, Autumn hasn't shied away from taking risks and whipping some very bold and signature dishes on the show. During the auditions, she whipped up a miso banana cake which earned her the white apron. The 27-year-old bartender from Boston too managed to catch the judges' attention with her impressive performance week after week. We can't wait to see if she makes it to the finals on 'MasterChef'.

Suu Khin

Both judges and the fans have been closely following Suu's journey on the show. The 30-year-old food blogger from Houston, cooked her signature Burmese noodle soup with shrimp and coconut curry during the auditions. The dish was so good that the judges were fighting amongst themselves to get the last bite. Suu's flavoring knowledge and her attention to minute details while plating, has blown away the judges every week. Suu is the fan-favorite frontrunner for winning the title of 'MasterChef' this season.
