Many are awaiting good news regarding the release of some of the most anticipated films of the year. While Warner Bros just announced that it will release DC comics-based movie ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ in both theatres and VoD platform, now speculations are rife if Marvel’s ‘Black Widow’ will also be released in the same format with both cinemas and VoD platforms releasing the superhero movie.

The high on action spy thriller ‘Black Widow’ will portray the story of Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow whom many of us have seen in the Avenger franchise. In the upcoming movie Romanoff “confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.”

Earlier ‘Black Widow’ has shifted from its earlier November 6, 2020 release date due to the Covid-19 pandemic and is slated for a 2021 release. However, after the announcement of ‘Wonder Woman 1984’, many on the Internet are speculating that ‘Black Widow’ will also be released on Disney+ which is a video on demand platform by distributor Disney Studios.

In anticipation of the release of the Marvel movie ‘Black Widow’, fans wrote on Twitter, “I wish the Black Widow movie would come to Disney+.” Some fans speculated that the movie might be premiering on Disney Plus in May 2021, “I'M TELLING YOU ALL BLACK WIDOW IS GOING ON DISNEY PLUS IN MAY”, another wrote. A user also urged Disney to announce the release of ‘Black Widow’, “MCU so damn powerful that when HBO announced they’re dropping ‘Wonder Woman’, ‘Black Widow’ starts trending. Do the right thing, Disney.” Another concurred, “Come on Disney. We need a break, we need a distraction. #BlackWidow stream it, please. Now.” A user quipped on Twitter, “Everyone looking at Disney with Black Widow now like.” Some fans want to see the next move of Disney, “Y'all see that ‘At no extra cost to subscribers’ for #WonderWoman1984? HBOMax is putting that pressure on Disney+. It'll be interesting to see what Black Widow does.”
