'Married to Medicine': Robert 'scared' Shanique's gonna be successful and not be under his thumb, say fans

'Why does Shanique have to justify her career choices? Why can't Dr Robert take an equal ownership in raising the children to support her?' asked a fan

Shanique Drummond ruffled a few feathers in Episode 3 of 'Married to Medicine: Los Angeles.' Not only did she manage to irk the women at Kendra Segura's housewarming party by calling Lia Dias messy because of a comment she made months ago about a photo of the hostess' jumpsuit, but also her husband Robert Drummond.

The couple was winding down, having a good chat about their future when Shanique said she would really love to switch jobs to be able to adjust her schedule around the kids, home and work. She has always wanted to be a luxury realtor and has a license, but Robert seems skeptical. He appreciated her thoughts but also pointed out that she needs to give him a check-list or at least a concrete plan about how she intends to go about the whole process, the transition from her regular job to being a real estate agent. But Robert asking her to get a few things done before he can be convinced that she's good for the next role has her confused and discouraged.

"I don't think you're going to be able to have the time that you think you're going to have to do the things that you're doing with the kids now. So, someone's going to have to do it and it ain't going to be me," Robert said, adding that for her to have a flexible career in real estate she'd have to first work hard to get there.

Meanwhile, fans are of the opinion that Robert needs to take equal ownership of the kids, implying that he is scared of taking equal ownership of the kids because that could make her more successful. "Shanique's bean sprout head ass husband is SOOOO unsupportive! He just wants to disagree. You told her to quit her job last season and now this season she wants to quit her job and you down talking her?! And THE FUCK YOU MEAN YOU WON'T TAKE CARE OF YOUR KIDS!?," a viewer shared, while another commented: "Robert irks me how he gonna say he won’t be him doing things with kids you’re their father he scared Shanique gonna be more successful and not be under his thumb."
