Mindy Shiben and Zach Justice appear to be the perfect married couple on paper, but off it, they have been experiencing trouble taking their marriage forward. The chemistry is missing and one could see it in the way they were around each other — distant.

Mindy confronted Zach on the day they arrived in Panama for their honeymoon about how the affection was missing, to which he said she has failed to build an attraction. This strained their relationship a tad but the next morning they were able to have a mature conversation, figure things out, enjoy a good breakfast and chill by the pool.

Although Taylor Dunklin thought the chemistry was missing between the two and Mindy appeared stressed about her equation with Zach. She even vented her frustration with the girls, while Zach too was honest and upfront in sharing his feelings for Mindy with the boys. He said how the conversation about them doing certain things just because others were doing it, bothered him a bit but they were able to come out of it.

Later in the day, the couple dined at the beach and spoke about their issues with each other. Mindy asked if Zach got away with everything because of his looks, to which he said that there's more to a person than just looks so for him it always takes time to build a connection with another person.

The next morning, the two went out on a tour (in a boat) of the native village and its people. While on the island, they explored the culture and the food habits, while indulging in some craft making and food tasting. Throughout you could see Zach trying to be pally with Mindy by occasionally fake-scaring her, telling her the best part of his day was being able to be with her on the boat ride.

As the evening drew close, the couples sat down for dinner at the hotel, during which Jessica Studer asked Mindy where they were on the physical aspect of their marriage. She quickly answered for both of them that they weren't rushing into things and taking it moment by moment, which Zach appreciated and said that he really loved how confident she was while sharing her point of view to others.

The newlyweds' night concluded with Zach telling Mindy that he wants both of them to be vulnerable and to know that it's okay to be like that.

On the surface, it may appear Zach is being rude by not being affectionate or expressive, but fans believe Mindy is pushing him away by unloading her insecurities on him.

"Mindy needs to analyzing everything & enjoy the moment w/ Zach. Putting out her insecurities so soon raises for Zach on wanting to get to know her. At this point she doesn’t seem fun to hang out/w if we have to discuss the meaning of our talks  #MarriedAtFirstSight," a fan wrote.

"I think Zach is not capable of giving Mindy the constant reassurance she demands. He needs to better with how he uses his words but she's pushing him away with her insecurity. #marriedatfirstsight," another expressed.

"Mindy doesn’t just roll with the punches because she’s insecure and desires validation that Zach doesn’t plan on giving. #MarriedAtFirstSight," a viewer expressed, while another posted: "I think one of the most unfortunate things about Mindy and Zach's relationship is that the more insecure she behaves the harder it'll be for him to grow that attraction to her #marriedatfirstsight."
