The adventures of the turbulent flight is back after the trailer of the second season of 'Manifest' rolled out at the New York Comic-Con 2019. In the first season, Montego Air Flight 828 landed safely in New York but the world had aged five years. Now, the passengers are faced with a bigger threat as they discover they are potentially living on borrowed time.

The trailer centers around much talk about "death dates" after Ben Stone (Josh Dallas) formed a theory that passengers are fated to "expire" after the same number of days they were missing. With all the unanswered questions, the cast and creator Jeff Rake revealed what to expect in an interview with EW. "It picks up right where we left off, moments after — and he dies!" JR Ramirez, who plays Jared, said, pointing at Matt Long, who essays the role of Zeke.

Talking about his character Ben, Dallas said, "He’s got this self-inflicted burden of being responsible not only for his family but for all the passengers and that burden is going to weigh very heavy on him. You’ll see that break him in a certain kind of way."

Moreover, there's also a glimpse of Grace Stone (Athena Karkanis), who revealed to Ben that she is pregnant with ex-lover Danny’s (Daniel Sunjata) baby. While it sparked much controversy among fans, the makers teased that Grace and Ben may become even closer in a way that they can’t even talk about yet.

In the first season, Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) arrived at her apartment and was confused as to what's hiding in Zeke’s cave. Roxburgh said, "Ben and Michaela are still on their quest to find out what’s going on and she starts to realize there’s a lot of consequences for how she’s being approaching it."

The trailer also hints at Ben’s encounter with one of his university students and shows an unearthed body. Another plot twist around Saanvi's therapist, the Major is expected in episode four as the 3.05-minute clip has been captioned, "As their new realities become clear, a deeper mystery unfolds, and some of the returned passengers soon realize they may be meant for something greater than they ever thought possible."

There are several new characters expected to be seen in the second season. Leah Gibson will play bartender Tamara, Carl Lundstedt has been cast in the role of Billy, Tamara’s hot-headed brother, and Yasha Jackson will be seen as Suzanne, a dean at the university. The Warner Bros. Television–produced drama returns in spring 2020.
