Imagine spending your whole life trying to become a surfer. Well, that's exactly what the athletes in the show 'Make or Break' have done. This absolute inspiring piece of a documentary will leave you dreaming big.  

It shows behind-the-scenes access to the world’s best surfers as they battle for the world title at the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour. When Does 'Make or Break' release, and where can you watch it?

'Make or Break' has received an early season renewal and is set to debut globally on Friday, April 29. You can catch the show exclusively on Apple TV+.

What is 'Make or Break' about?

This is a sports documentary on the lives that athletes, specifically surfers, live. It shows some of the world's best surfers squaring off each other to win a championship title. It's all about the story of sacrifice, giving up, coming strong, and traveling the world to prove themselves worth the title.

The original synopsis reads: "Dive into the world of pro surfing as the best in the sport travel the globe to compete for the World Championship title. With unprecedented access, this docuseries captures the athletes’ lives on tour and the sacrifices they make to get to the top. " The series follows the 2021 competition, navigating as the league responds to the global pandemic while exploring the dynamic surfing culture along with timely issues, including diversity, mental health, and the physical impact of the sport.

Who stars in 'Make or Break'?

Each episode in the seven-part first season of the series shows internationally recognized surfers like Kelly Slater, Stephanie Gilmore, Gabriel Medina, Tyler Wright, Italo Ferreira, and, Tatiana Weston-Webb. A few other well-recognized surfers seen include Morgan Cibilic, Johanne Defay, Leonardo Fioravanti, Jeremy Flores, John John Florence, Filipe Toledo, Kanoa Igarashi, Matt McGillivray, Isabella Nichols, and Jack Robinson.

This sports docuseries is produced for Apple by Box to Box Films, in partnership with the WSL.
