'Madam Secretary' Season 6 Episode 2: Fans declare Henry McCord the sexy example 'every man should learn from'

Last week we saw him slip up about their sex life on Stephen Colbert, but this time he grabs faithless micromanagers by the necks and stands up for his wife

This article contains spoilers for Season 6 Episode 2

Henry McCord just keeps climbing the ladder as one of the most wholesome TV husbands on the planet and fans can't stop gushing about him.

In episode two of the sixth and last season of 'Madam Secretary', the show's sitting POTUS, Elizabeth McCord, has to face questions on a bunch of things — from eating healthy to the latest Iranian hacking scandal that put the legitimacy of her election under scrutiny.

Elizabeth faces a new challenge this week in the form of some of her critics labeling her "out of touch". She tries to remain undeterred by making her main focus throwing the first pitch at the METS game.

When she arrives at the venue, she has a change of heart regarding the gas tax which has garnered massive media attention with reporters flocking around her asking for her comments on the same.

She tells her White House Chief of Staff  Russell Jackson about this, and the man condescendingly blows it off saying they will discuss the matter later. This is where Henry — like the solid backup support he is to Elizabeth — steps up.

As Elizabeth nails her pitch, Henry asks Russell to back off a little and let her lead according to her instincts.

Henry asks Russell not to second guess her and even when Russell justifies his micromanaging impulses with the amount of press scrutiny they face, purely because she is the first female president, Henry asks him to take a deep breath and trust Elizabeth.

He says America chose her after all so they must have faith in her — something that has made Twitter go crazy about our First Gentleman on the show.

One Twitter user shared: "Hi I need that clip of Henry speaking up to Russell about letting the nation see what a woman leader can do without micromanaging her RIGHT NOW."

Another fan declared: "Henry McCord and Tim Daly are officially the only valid men." Of course, this wasn't the only tweet praising Daly's incredible portrayal of a role that has never been played so explicitly before, but tonight, Henry was the show stopper.

As one user shared: "I didn’t think Henry could get more sexy... then he goes after Russell in defense of his President! Ugh... damn!"

'Madam Secretary' season six airs on Sundays at 10 pm only on CBS.
