After Fox axed Tom Ellis, Lauren German, and Lesley-Ann Brandt-starring supernatural drama 'Lucifer' back in May, Netflix jumped in saving the show from the brutal sentence. Not only was the police procedural given a second life but also renewed for a fourth season on the streaming platform - albeit a condensed 10-episode one.

Now that season 4 production has begun in full swing, Brandt (who brings the character of Mazikeen to life) recently talked to Meaww at EW's pre-Emmy party, giving us an exclusive sneak-peek into the upcoming season. If her words are any indication, it's going to be one action-packed ride.

Shedding light on how it has been a whirlwind affair for the cast of 'Lucifer' since making a move from network television to Netflix, the actress gave the credit where it was due - to the fans of the show, who have been instrumental in saving 'Lucifer'. "We were originally canceled by Fox and then there was a huge fan outcry and Netflix came in and saved the day, so that's amazing," Brandt told Meaww adding, "We have started our season 4 and it's like I never took off the leather pants. I am back in and kicking ass."

Mazikeen also had some thoughts on what the new season would look like, now that it's shortened into a 10-episodes season. "We are condensed to 10 episodes so I think what that means is... there is a lot of stuff happening in every single episode. You have only ten episodes to tell the season's story versus 22 on a network show, where sometimes you have a fuller episode so things move really quickly, that definitely happens."

Moving into the third season, however, 'Lucifer' will be really picking up on the action. There's already some new cast addition in place and if Brandt's words are any indication, season 4 is going to get "sexier".

"We have a new character being introduced, Eve, and Inbar Lavi joins our cast this year and she is phenomenal," said the actress.

"It's definitely getting sexier. I have some really cool fights this season, I team up with one of our other cast members, someone that I have not really got to do much work within the previous three seasons. All in all, it's very action-packed," Brandt added.
