'Lovestruck in the City' episode 5 packed in a surprise as actor Minho, who was discharged from compulsory military service on November 15, had a cameo in the show. He appeared as Oh Dong-sik, who witnesses Kang Goen and Oh Seong-yeong breaking up on the streets, with the latter forcing the former to strip himself of everything she had gifted him. This included his jacket, shoes, socks, and t-shirt that they had bought together as a couple.

So he comes to Goen's rescue and offers him slippers that he could wear instead of suffering in the cold. And he also hands his jacket over and what we see next is a bonding of a senior and junior who went to the same school. Turns out Dong-sik, who has been recently selected to work as a cop by the National Police Agency, went to the same school as Goen and the two also realize that they belonged to the same soccer team as well. Of course, Dong-sik played soccer but Goen was only a cheerleader for the team.

In the meantime, we also learn more about Jae-won and Eun-o's love story. Eun-o had lied to Jae-won when the two were in a relationship. She had used an alias to live a life free of the baggage she had accumulated as Eun-o and that was when she met Jae-won and fell in love with him. The girl that he had fallen in love with -- the girl who promised to overcome fear and become more confident -- is not the same girl who Eun-o is. That is also one of the main reasons why she had broken up with him despite 'being married' and moving into his camping car for two months.

She is not sure of how Jae-won would react to the truth and again falls into the trap of not wanting to disappoint him. He is still unsure of how or why his relationship failed. He continues to refer to her by the name that she had used in Yangyang -- Yoon Seon-ah -- and even tells the people who are documenting different love stories to search for her and ask her just these: Does she still have the camera that he had left behind? Did she sell it off? If she did, what did she do with the money? Why did she break it off with him? These are the things we will now see unfold on 'Lovestruck in the City'.

'Lovestruck in the City' originally airs on Kakao TV on Tuesdays and Fridays and can be streamed on Netflix in the US.
