'Lovestruck in the City' Episode 10: Did Eun-o run away from a cheating fiance? Truth about Seon-ah's lies out
'Lovestruck in the City' in episode 10 revealed the truth about why Yoon Seon-ah had lied to Park Jae-won (Ji Chang-wook) about who she really was and her real name as well. Turns out, before she had gone to the surfing town where she had met Jae-won, her fiance had cheated on her in his Busan home. In fact, it was revealed that Seon-ah when she was Eun-o (Kim Ji-won) had found him having an affair and walked in on the two of them leading to complete heartbreak. That is the reason why she had abandoned everything in Seoul and left to find herself.
The reason why she had believed that she must overcome her fears was to overcome that traumatic relationship and that is where she had met Jae-won. From instant connection and attraction to Jae-won, to how he had inspired her to learn surfing despite her fear of water, everything worked between them seamlessly. So seamlessly that Eun-o believed that it was too good to be true. So when she did see this sincere man pour his heart out for her without any inhibitions, she decided to not let fear influence her again and the two of them lived a happy life together but that only lasted two months.
When Jae-won had left for Seoul on an emergency, the two of them were cut off and were unable to contact each other. She had thought that he wouldn't accept her real name, her past, or who she was really was. When she had hinted at how she could be someone different, Jae-won had simply said that she wouldn't be the same person. She did not trust him to accept the transformation within her and so she decided that it was for the best of both of them to go their separate ways. Also to ensure that he continued to hate her, she lied about stealing the camera and ruined her own reputation.
Now that he has met her again and the facade has come crashing, it looks like she will have to have a conversation with him. Not only because he deserves to know her truth, but also because Jae-won was able to guess that Eun-o had been very close to him all this while. She was none other than his cousin's girlfriend's best friend. Considering how he witnessed the fight between Sur-in and Eun-o's ex-boyfriend for his trashy behavior -- all of it comes together -- and now, we wonder where this would lead the two lovers.
