As promised by Peacock, the new season 4 of 'Love Island' is not only hotter and steamier but also more dramatic than its preceding seasons. The highly-anticipated new season kicked off with ten hot islanders getting into the first coupling ceremony of the season.

Under the supervision of new hostess Sarah Hyland, the new islanders met each other and picked their partners based on just looks. The first couple of the season turned out to be Andy Voyen and Courtney Boerner. The Minnesota realtor was the first male islander to be presented before the ladies. When Sarah asked the ladies to step forward if they were attracted to him, only Sereniti Springs stepped forward and expressed her interest in Andy. Sadly for Sereniti, Andy wasn't feeling her, he instead decided to pair up with stylist Courtney. Though Courtney initially seemed happy about her new man, once they sat down and began talking to each other, the attraction faded away almost immediately for her. She looked put off when she tried telling Andy that she was bisexual, and was met by him joking about not wanting "more competition" to win her affection.

Aside from Andy's inappropriate comment on her sexuality, Courtney was also turned off by him when she learned that he was a proud "mama's boy". Oblivious to Courtney's feelings, Andy continued to rave about his connection with Courtney in front of other islanders. After watching Andy make the crass comment about not wanting "more competition" for Courtney's heart, many fans took to Twitter to call him out for making the stereotypical joke about Courtney's sexuality. A fan tweeted, "Idk something rubbed me the wrong way when Courtney said she was bisexual and Andy said “wait I don’t want double the competition” it just struck me wrong #LoveIslandUSA." "not andy saying “i don’t wanna have competition with the girls too” when courtney told him she was bisexual?? he gives me the ICK #LoveIslandUSA," wrote a fan. "Andy got two strikes so far. Momma’s boy and bi stereotypes #LoveIslandUSA," commented a fan. "OMG THROW ANDY AWAY NOW!!! i dated two girls, tell me more about that… ew… then he says he doesn’t want to compete with girls since she is bi… honey a wet rag would beat you… #loveislandusa," expressed an annoyed fan. "Yuppp Andy is iffy about Courtney being bi #LoveIslandUSA," observed a fan.
