‘Love In The Forecast’: Meet the cast of Hallmark’s upcoming movie that follows an unpredictable love story
A charismatic Leah Waddell (Cindy Busby) is an aspiring meteorologist, who just isn’t able to see a bright future for herself. Tired of her bleak dating life, she takes an oath to remain single for the rest of her life until she meets her handsome neighbor Mark (Christopher Russell). Cindy Busby
From a young age, Cindy Busby had a fascination with acting. She loved performing before an audience and was actively involved in every theater production during her school years. After graduating from school, Busby was accepted into the Professional Theater Program at Dawson College, Montreal. She began her career in acting in 2005 with a notable role first role in ‘Bethune’, which earned an impressive viewership.
In 2007, she played a supporting lead in Lifetime’s film ‘A Little Interrupted’. In the same year, she got placed as a regular on television series ‘Heartland’ as Ashley Stanton. With many nominations for Gemini Awards, the series went on to become one of the most popular shows in Canada. She first essayed the role of an antagonist in ‘Picture This’, which also cast Ashley Tisdale, Kevin Pollak, and Shenae Grimes. With Fox’s ‘The Big Year’, Busby made her debut on the big screen in 2011. She starred alongside Steve Martin, Owen Wilson, and Jack Black. The actress has worked with Hallmark for a few years now. Her notable work with the network includes ‘Lucky in Love, ‘Debbie Macomber’s Cedar’ and ‘Hailey Dean Mystery: Murder With Love’.
Christopher Russell
Christopher Russell is a first-generation Canadian born to British parents. He began performing from a very young age and as per Hallmark, his first role as an actor was portraying Mary and Joseph's donkey in his pre-school production of 'The Nativity Story,' for which he received rave reviews. In high school, Russell performed in many productions, most notably as Magnus Muldoon in a rendition of Tom Stoppard’s 'The Real Inspector Hound,' which earned him the Sears Drama Festival Award of Excellence.' He has acted in several films including ‘Gone Tomorrow’, ‘Gangster Exchange,’ “Land of the Dead', 'Center Stage: Turn It Up’ and ‘The Right Kind Of Wrong’.
He recently finished shooting for ABC Family’s pilot 'Gorgeous Morons'. He would be playing the lead role of Madison in the upcoming series. He has featured in numerous television series including, ‘Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce,’ ‘Men in Trees’ with Anne Heche, ‘Flashpoint,’ ‘The Listener,’ ‘Murdoch Mysteries,’ The CW’s ‘iZombie’, ‘Nikita’, ‘Supernatural’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’, as well as the TV movies ‘Love, Again’, ‘Midnight Masquerade,’ ‘The Boy Next Door’, ‘Seduced By Lies’ and ‘Catch A Christmas Star’.
Jennifer Copping
Jennifer Copping will be playing the role of Fiona Waddell in ‘Love In The Forecast’. She’s the winner of a Leo Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture for ‘Becoming Redwood’. She’s also popular for her movies including ‘Mother of All Lies’, ‘Becoming Redwood’, and ‘Van Helsing’. Copping is married to filmmaker Jesse James Miller since 1998. They have two children together.
The Hallmark movie will premiere on June 13 at 9 pm.
