'Love After Lockup': Destinie shocked to learn Shawn is not 36, fans say he looks like he could be 50

Shawn, 45, and Destinie, 28, will have a hard time proving why they are made for each other especially because their relationship is riddled with lies. Shawn introduced himself as a 36-year-old with two kids when he is a lot older than that and is father to six children he had with a woman he never married. That's a lot to take in on the day one's released from prison. It was a shocker for her and understandably, her mother and sister were taken aback too. 

Meanwhile, fans are trolling Shawn for hiding his age, calling himself a 36-year-old when he looks 50. They even questioned Destinie, asked if she really thought Shawn looked like he could that young. "#LoveAfterLockup how does Shawn have the nerve to say he’s 36 this man look like he can be close to 50," a fan said.

"36 is a weird age to just assume someone is and hate to break it to Shawn but he doesn’t look like he’s in the age range of 36 let’s just be honest #loveafterlockup," another pointed out.

"So Shawn lied about his age and number of kids to Destiny and told her mom like she wouldn’t find out. HE IS A WHOLE DUMMY #loveafterlockup," a user tweeted.

"Does he really look 36 years old to you, Destinie? #loveafterlockup," another wrote.

"Either she acting stupid or she think he really 36 #LoveAfterLockup," a viewer expressed. 

Destinie's sister thought he could be a "pervert" and got "serial killer" vibes going on, while her mother was baffled and wanted answers to why Shawn would want anything to do with a girl almost half his age. Shawn was quick in assuring her that he would want to marry her but she found it tough to trust him. Later, at the dinner table, Destinie confronted Shawn for hiding his age. Shawn defended himself saying it was something she assumed and that he never lied about his age.

All along, it was being thought that maybe Shawn is being used and catfished by Destinie but the narrative has started to change now and the spotlight is on Shawn for not being true to himself or their relationship.
