Lollapalooza 2022 Chicago proved to be quite an affair as it came to an exciting end on Sunday, July 31. The four-day mega music festival saw some of the top global artists taking over the stage. The event was wrapped up by performances from iconic punk rock band Green Day and renowned BTS member J Hope.
 
Hashtags like ‘#GreenDay’, ‘#JHope’, and ‘#hobi’ secured some of the top spots on the trending list over the weekend as fans got in a dilemma as to whom to watch to enjoy a perfect end of the music festival. Since, Green Day and J Hope both enjoy a massive fan following, their loyal fans took to Twitter to share what they finally opted for. Speaking of Lollapalooza 2022 edition, artists namely Dua Lipa, J Cole, and Green Day headlined the four-day festival. Performances from Lil Baby, Machine Gun Kelly, Kygo, and Doja Cat also proved to be the highlights of the event.

Lollapalooza fans juggle between Green Day and J Hope

Green Day belted out some of their top bangers to close the Lollapalooza festival held at Grant Park, Chicago. The legendary rock band headed by Billie Joe Armstrong had also performed a warm-up show a day prior to the finale where they unleashed some of their unreleased songs.
 
While Green Day rocked the final day of Lollapalooza, K-pop artist J Hope performed on a different stage almost at the same time. Hope made history as the first South Korean guy to headline a major music festival in the US. J Hope fans started using the hashtag '#Hobipalooza' to celebrate Hope performing at the festival.
 
J Hope enthralled the audience on a different stage as Lollapalooza came to end. The music festival has already announced its dates for next year. Lollapalooza 2023 will be heading to Mumbai, India for its next edition. It will return on August 3 and will conclude on August 6, 2023. The music festival earlier took place in Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, France, Sweden, and the US.   



 

‘That is a hard choice for me’

Expressing their dilemma, many fans took to Twitter to pick one between Green Day and J Hope. “I literally cannot believe my Mayor chose J Hope over Green Day. We got a bunch of secret K pop fans running rampant in this city.” Whereas, another stated, “I got too distracted watching Green Day that I missed the first 10 minutes of J Hope’s set.”  One user added, “Watching J hope and forgot about green day. Let me flip over.”
 
The next one tweeted, “That being said. I don’t have to choose between J Hope and Green Day. That is a hard choice for me.” Meanwhile, an individual shared a meme and posted, “This would be me. worlds collide @.@ I was raised by green day AND I love j hope with my life!!” And, one concluded, “For the eighth time and second time at Lollapalooza, and the second time this week. The best to ever do it, Green Day. The farthest back I have ever been but it was so much more fun than the times I was at rail. No better way to close Lolla.”
