Is Lil Durk OK? Rapper hit in face with firework explosion on stage during performance at Lollapalooza
Lil Durk landed on the Lollapalooza stage for the very first time in Chicago on Saturday, July 30, and got hit by a stage explosion when he was performing his set. Several fan-made videos surfaced on the Internet showing the ‘7220’ hitmaker rubbing his eyes later as he stepped inside a huge cloud of smoke.
The news comes after many on social media complained about Lil Durk fans groping others while a few also pointed out how the size of the stage was small where the Chicago native performed. In the video, Lil Durk is seen performing a song when all of a sudden, a firework explosion sets off on the stage making the 29-year-old rapper walk back a few steps.

Is Lil Durk OK?
Lil Durk, who performed on Day 2 of the Lollapalooza Chicago festival, was spotted performing his set with his crew members as the crowd swayed to his tunes. However, in the middle of his set, the rapper gets struck by a firework explosion in the face. The very next second, Lil Durk walks away from the spot and rubs his eyes trying to clear out the smoke.

No injuries were reported on the spot. Durk’s rep was not available for a quick comment and even the rapper has not shared anything about the incident on his socials. MEAWW will keep you posted. Machine Gun Kelly, Dua Lipa, Taipei Houston, Mahalia, Wet Leg, Tinashe, Royal Blood, MUNA, Binki, and Glass Animals were some of the artists who performed on day one of Lollapalooza Chicago.

Social media users rushed to Twitter as soon as they got to know about Lil Durk getting hit by an explosion on stage. “Bro that looked like they did that on purpose”, said one as another on similar lines posted, “The opps purposefully planned that.” Another user stated, “It was at this moment, He knew he f**ked up.” Whereas, one mentioned, “Should’ve happened to Travis Scott, the families still haven’t recovered from when he irresponsibly took the lives of children.”
The next one tweeted, “Is there 0 crowd control at lolla wdym lil durk got hit by a firework if anything touches txt im going berserk on everybody.” And, one asked, “Who’s in charge of effects at lolla.. lil durk could’ve been seriously hurt.” An individual concluded, “First thing lil durk should not have beeen on this stage, it is too small for him and his fans!
