The previously teased single 'Holiday' by Lil Nas X is dropping just around the corner, and along with its release, we're getting an official music video. The rapper, singer and songwriter took to his social media on November 12 to tease the music video with a heavily sci-fi-inspired cinematic poster. "TONIGHT!" Lil Nas X wrote with a snowflake emoji on Twitter, alongside the poster which featured an alienesque Santa Claus-like temple with a protagonist climbing a long staircase to the entrance between the legs. We're getting strong 'Prometheus' vibes from it. Check out the poster below.

According to the poster, Lil Nas X will helm the direction for the video along with Gibson Hazard. The latter-mentioned 'Holiday' director is best known for his work on Drake’s 'Aubrey and the Three Amigos' world tour in 2018, for which he helped produce the graphics, as well as a trailer. Hazard often incorporates a lot of imagery akin to ‘70s and ‘80s sci-fi pop culture and mixes in elements of folklore. In March, Hazard worked with Lil Uzi Vert on an official short film for 'Eternal Atake' titled 'BabyPluto'.

Hazard's work extends beyond the music industry as well. He's worked with Dr. Dre and Jak Bannon to create a tribute to Kobe Bryant that aired on TNT. In 2019, he put together a visual featuring Odell Beckham Jr., Saquon Barkley, and Khalil Mack for Nike.

Meanwhile, fans are excited for the rapper's role as director and his upcoming visual for 'Holiday'. "CANT F**KIN WAIT," wrote a fan in all caps while another said, "You really feeding us tonight." One fan said, "Hold on! This is so good you keep topping yourself (pause)." "Man's out here making films for each song," noted a fan. One fan asks, "U dead*ss droppin a movie????"

The visual for 'Holiday' will mark the first video directed by Lil Nas X. It's unclear how far the visual will be a film or a conventional music video, but it's clear that Lil Nas X has put a lot of effort into it. Earlier this week, a teaser video for ‘Holiday’ was first aired during an NFL game between the New Orleans Saints and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before circulating around the Internet. The clip featured a cameo from 'Back to the Future' legend Michael J. Fox which also drew wild attention from fans at the time.

Ever since Lil Nas X released his multiple award-winning hit 'Old Town Road', fans have been in high expectation and hopes for more music and its oftentimes turned into frustration. Case in point, it's evident that Lil Nas X is excited himself to release a new track and would have worked hard on it.
