'Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood': Princess Love claims that there are no makeup brands catering to women of color

Ray J's wife Princess Love's ignorant comment about no makeup brands catering for "urban women" has fans calling her out

Princess Love, the wife of Ray J, has joined the bandwagon of celebrities with their own makeup line. The LHHH star recently launched her line of cosmetics called 'Prella Cosmetics'.

On the show, when 'Hollywood Unlocked' host Jason Lee asked her about why she created her own line, Princess explained that there are no brands that make high-quality cosmetics for "urban women".

Fans were quick to call her out and remind her that there are several brands that cater to women of color, the most prominent one being Rihanna's 'Fenty Beauty', which makes some great makeup products that cater to women of color.

Interestingly enough, Fenty Beauty’s model and ambassador Slick Woods is a cast member of this season's LHHH.

A fan tweeted, “#LHHH  what the hell is princess talking about it's plenty of makeup out that caters to black women".

Another fan wrote, "Did Princess just say we don’t have a cosmetic line for URBAN women...  As if Rihanna doesn't exist. Girl #LHHH go awf with her glosses and lashes girl."

Fans are finding Princess' pretense of ignorance about the other brands that cater to persons of color very amusing.

A fan shared, "I love how Princess said that there's no makeup for people of color and that's why she invented a beauty line.. Sis.. Slick Woods... The Face of FENTY BEAUTY, a makeup line specifically made for POC, is literally on your show. Stop the lies. #LHHH #LHHHollywood."

Princess Love's Prella Cosmetics is a vegan and cruelty-free brand which sells lip kits, lip glosses, eye shadows, and lashes. Princess, who has a background in fashion designing, felt that she was the perfect person to launch her line of cosmetics given her background in fashion.

However, this wasn't always the plan as Princess revealed on the show. She initially intended Prella Cosmetics to create nail products, but when the supplier ran away with her money, she decided to change her plans and venture into the lucrative cosmetics industry.
