Kodak Black, who was recently arrested again over dark-tinted windows and carrying nearly $75K cash and 31 Oxycodone pills, took to Twitter on Tuesday, July 26 to speak his heart out on the matter. Posting multiple tweets, the Florida native felt the arrest was like a character assassination, adding that he was racially profiled.

The 25-year-old rap artist, who recently performed at Rolling Loud Miami with an ankle monitor, seemed frustrated over how the cops dealt with him. Kodak Black claimed that he will sue them for every dollar he spent. The ‘Super Gremlin’ hitmaker, who enjoys four million followers on the micro-blogging site, said he deserves his freedom for everything he does for the community. The acclaimed hip-hop artist was previously arrested and sentenced to 48 months in prison in June 2020, a case that stemmed from federal weapons charges in 2019.

‘I’m being racially profiled’

Kodak tweeted, “This s**t bogus Af I feel like This a character assassination issue Kuz theirs no way I should be getting harassed bout my tag being expired, that’s no reason to even search my car in the first place and going to jail about having my medication in the car is insane.” In another tweet, he posted, “Ima Sue these people for every dollar I gotta spend bout this s**t!”

A few hours later Kodak again took to Twitter, saying, “I’m being racially profiled and as a black man in America I deserve my freedom especially with everything I do for my community I should be getting love, respect and support from the authorities ! To move freely, not getting arrested for expired tag and dark windows” adding in a different tweet an hour later, “This a self inflicted wound that coulda been prevented ! My people posta made sure my tags stay up and my tints Just right but @ da same time I should have a pass to drive with tints due to my status AT LEAST!!! I show all this love round here just to get slapped in the face.” Following his arrest, the rapper was reportedly put on a house arrest with an electronic monitor and was apparently put on drug testing and regular check-ins with his probation officer, as published by Hot New Hip Hop.

‘Look it as a wake-up call for you to do better’

Social media users were quick to react to Kodak Black’s rant on Twitter. “I respect you Kodak but you ain’t the only one being pulled over for dark windows. And get new tags my guy”, said one user while another posted, “You famous buh you still got Expired tags and dark windows and u BLACK.” Another shared, “You a target my guy an easy example to set ! Tighten up n live dat snipe!”

The next one tweeted, “Don’t give them no reason to stop you period! Your tag shouldn’t be bad. All those ppl in your circle, they should help you handle your business.” Meanwhile, one shared, “U to rich and in the spotlight to be rollin like that king look at it as a wake-up call for u to do better.” An individual asserted, “Get an assistant that makes sure your tags and license are in order. You're too grown and have too much money to be getting stopped for an expired tag.” And, one concluded, “Keep you head up bro, follow god in his plan. You destined for greatest, he just building you up for the blessing coming your way.”
