Kodak Black got injured after he was reportedly shot in the leg after someone opened fire outside a bar in West Hollywood in the wee hours of Saturday, February 12. The Florida native was one of the four people who got shot. Kodak was rushed to the hospital along with the other casualties and was reportedly treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
 
According to NBC News, two other victims were aged 19 and 60. The fourth one is yet to be identified. Kodak Black was present at Justin Bieber’s afterparty at The Nice Guy in Los Angeles after the latter had performed in WeHo at the Pacific Design Center. The guest list of the party also included Drake, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Kendall Jenner and Khloe Kardashian. The unfortunate gunfire incident reportedly took place around 2:45 am when Kodak Black and Lil Baby were standing on the street, smiling and talking as a fight broke out. Apparently, rapper Gunna was present there too.

According to NBC News, law enforcement spilled the beans on the incident revealing that a total of 10 shots were fired at the scene. The four victims also including the 24-year-old rapper were in stable condition. Speaking of who shot the rapper, there has been no update on the same and LAPD is looking into the matter. The publication shared that LAPD in a press release said that they were searching for a black male suspect who fled south from the location.
 
It is also not clear as to what led to the fight in the first place outside the bar. An LAPD spokesman said the victims were shot when they emerged from the club during the fight. According to the latest update by TMZ, a newly surfaced footage showed a man wearing black who seems to be holding what appears to be a pistol. No arrests have been made so far in the case.  In the press release, LAPD wrote, “Preliminary investigation revealed there was a physical altercation between several individuals at the location.  Gunshots were fired by an unknown suspect, who then fled south from the location” adding, “Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported two victims to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.  Officers discovered there were two additional victims who self-transported to local hospitals, bringing the total shot to four.  All four victims are listed in stable condition.”

What exactly happened during gunfire incident?

According to people in Kodak’s camp, as reported by TMZ, the rapper was in town for the Super Bowl weekend and some other business. He marked his attendance at Bieber’s afterparty and all was smooth until he stepped out of the venue.
 
Apparently, someone from the rapper’s crew got jumped by an unidentified assailant when the rapper decided to intervene in the matter. It is said that’s when the gunman opened fire at the scene ensuing chaos on the spot. Kodak was then shot in the leg. A source close to Page Six revealed, “The fight was believed to have started with someone in Kodak Black’s entourage. After others jumped in, shots were fired…and then all hell broke loose.”
