Kodak Black has found himself in another controversy after a TikTok user shared a video in which the Florida rapper appeared to ignore a strip club dancer because of her color. The video showed Kodak letting it pour with the tips and then supposedly stopping it when a darker-skinned dancer enters the stage.

The TikTok user wrote, “I went to booby trap last night...Kodak Black pulled up. He was so lit turning up all night on every girl. He spent so much money...until!!! A dark skin girl got on stage. He completely stopped tipping. She was so entertaining. … I never believed in colorism until tonight… it’s real I felt bad for her. I can tell it killed her spirit she just turned down..darkskin girls have it hard….sheeesh and it be from our own people.” It didn't take long for Kodak to defend his behavior on social media.

He responded, “Whoever recorded that lame af. I threw money on all kinda women. My money don’t run out in dat club. Everybody love me there. I love dark women. They queens wit dey black ass. Faxtz tho they beautiful.” Kodak has had to defend against racial allegations against him before as well for making contentious remarks about Black women in the past. According to Aceshowbiz, the rapper attracted attention on social media in 2017 when he stated that he prefers light-skinned ladies. He defended his remarks during a subsequent interview with ChaneyTV during Master P's charity basketball tournament.

Kodak added at that time, referring to the hypothetical individual who made similar comments, “If he prefers skinny women more than a chubbier or heavy-set woman if he can say that and nobody can get mad at him, I just said I don’t like women with my complexion. I love African American women, but I just don’t like my skin complexion. We too gutter, light-skinned women more sensitive.”

On another occasion, he brought KeKe Palmer into the conversation and said “She straight. I’d bag her, but I don’t really like Black girls like that, sorta kinda."

Just last year, when a video of Kodak Black grabbing his mother's butt leaked on the internet, it stunned his fans. Later, in one of his videos, the rapper from South Florida tackled the incident, stating that he loves his mother, Marcelene Simmons, to death and that it was nothing but simply touching.

Kodak was also in the news following his comments on Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith after the couple took over the headlines after the Oscars slap incident. Commenting on an old Red Table Talk clip spreading online, speculation arose if Jada ever really wanted to marry Will. Kodak saw the message and issued a warning to Jada. “You got a n***a who love you, all kinds of shit,” Kodak said. “Come fuck with Kodak. That’s what you need ’cause you just on some bullshit. You don’t deserve Will Smith. You deserve Yak. You deserve me," he said.
