LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: GoT fans have been restless ever since  'House of the Dragon' Season 1 ended, but 'Game of Thrones' star Kit Harington came to the rescue by giving them something to look forward to. The first fan convention of the 'House of the Dragon' and 'Game of Thrones' universe was held on Sunday, December 11, in LA, and Harington slightly teased about the spin-off series on Jon Snow without giving much away.

Fans are eagerly waiting for the official announcement of the spin-off ever since Emilia Clarke confirmed it in an interview earlier this year. She said, "It's been created by Kit as far as I can understand, so he's in it from the ground up. So what you will be watching, hopefully, if it happens, is certified by Kit Harington."

On the other hand, 'House of the Dragon,' which was created by George RR Martin and Ryan Condal for HBO, has done extremely well with regard to viewership and as a series overall. It mainly received praise for its character development, writing, score, and acting performances.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Harington said at the convention, “I think if you asked him, he would’ve felt he got off lightly. At the end of the show when we find him in that cell, he’s preparing to be beheaded and he wants to be. He’s done. The fact he goes to the Wall is the greatest gift and also the greatest curse.”

Harington continued, “He’s gotta go back up to the place with all this history and live out his life thinking about how he killed Dany, and live out his life thinking about Ygritte dying in his arms, and live out his life thinking about how he hung Olly, and live out his life thinking about all of this trauma, and that, that’s interesting.”

Without giving too much away by talking about the Jon Snow spinoff, Harington talked of the state of mind his character was in at the end of 'Game of Thrones' and indirectly teased the spinoff series. “So I think where we leave him at the end of the show, there’s always this feeling of like… I think we wanted some kind of little smile that things are OK. He’s not OK,” he added.

HBO recently released a recap video about the character - a strong indication that the announcement might be dropping soon. HBO captioned the video, "Revisit the emotional and literal death-defying journey of Jon Snow."
