SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: Kim Go Eun's agency has refuted rumors about the actress dating soccer player Son Heung Min. According to internet groups, Kim Go-eun and Son Heung-min are rumored to be dating based on Instagram interactions. The rumor speculated that a private Instagram account followed by Kim Go Eun is allegedly Heung -min's personal account.

People also noticed Go-eun's Instagram Stories showing support for Korea in the World Cup, and saw that the head of Go-eun's agency is following Heung-min and his team Tottenham Hotspur on Instagram. After erupting rumors around the Internet, Go-eun's agency cleared the air and made a statement. "The dating rumors are not true," and added, "The two have never met. [Go-eun] is always a supporter as a [South Korean] citizen and especially during the World Cup season." This statement was released by the agency on December 20.

The claims apparently began after one netizen on Twitter claimed that Go-eun was observed following Heung-min's secret account and that the two had shared love content on the account, as reported by Jazmine media. As sleuths on Twitter are clearing out these rumors to support Go-eun amid linkup controversies and asked to "report" any such rumors surrounding her. One of the Twitter users wrote, "Please leave our girl alone! She doesn't deserve this!!! If any of you guys saw a post about this rumors, please report it immediately! Thank you! "

Another user wrote Go-eun and Heung-min, "who do not know each other, must be laughing at this groundless and absurd rumor created by someone who got nothing better to do with life." A third user wrote, "BREAKING NEWS!! Actress #KimGoEun's agency firmly denies actress' dating rumors with coccer player #sonheungmin 'She just support him as citizen watching the world cup.' #KimGoEun #sonheungmin #WorldCup2022"

Heung-min led the South Korean national team FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar, however, the team was defeated by Brazil just before the quarterfinals began. On the other hand, Go-eun is now preparing for the release of her film 'Hero', which will be released in theaters on Wednesday, December 21.
