The 2022 Met Gala saw a host of celebrity attendees, but only a handful of them followed the 'Gilded Glamour' theme of this year. Internet users who were expecting stunning and elaborate outfits because of the lavish theme were left sorely disappointed with most looks.

Khloe Kardashian was invited to the Met Gala for the first time ever, and it seems like fans weren't too happy with her look. The 37-year-old wore a sheer gold column gown with black-gloved arms and a subtle cape. Her short platinum hair was styled down while her makeup was nude and classic.

One user tweeted, "Every first Tuesday in May I wake up fuming because celebrities keep ignoring the fact the Met is a COSTUME gala. Khloe Kardashian has seen what Rihanna has worn in previous years and turned up in the same gold dress she wears every Christmas? It's rude! #MetGala." This was the first time that all five Kardashian-Jenner sisters — Kim, Khloe, Kylie, Kendall, and Kourtney were invited to the Met Gala. Just like Khloe, it was also Kourtney's Met Gala debut. Khloe tweeted after the gala, "Am I supposed to admit that I almost had a heart attack on that carpet tonight? My anxiety was through the roof!" This was followed by, "I am so incredibly honored that I was invited to the MET wearing @Moschino. @ITSJEREMYSCOTT designed my dress in about 10 days."
