Met Gala 2022: ALL the Kardashian women get invited by Anna Wintour for first time ever

Kim, Kylie, and Kendall have been regular attendees at the Met Gala, but this will be the first year of attendance for Khloé and Kourtney

The annual Met Gala, recognized as fashion's biggest and most glamorous night, is one of the most awaited fashion events of every year. This year's theme is 'Gilded Glamour' and users cannot wait to see what looks the celebrities come up with.

The fundraising gala, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City, is hosted by Vogue editor, Anna Wintour. For the first time, nearly the entire Kardashian-Jenner family might possibly attend the glitzy event. "Everyone is scheduled to go," a Condé Nast insider told Page Six.

Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Kendall Jenner have been regular attendees at the Met Gala. But this will be the first year of attendance for Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian. As per the portal, Kourtney will attend the event with her fiancé, Travis Barker and Kim will bring along her boyfriend, Pete Davidson. Khloe, Kendall, and Kylie, along with their mother, Kris Jenner will also likely attend the coveted fashion gala.

Rob Kardashian, who likes to keep a low profile and is currently stuck in a court battle with former girlfriend Blac Chyna, will most likely not make it to the event. Similarly, Kylie's boyfriend, Travis Scott, has been keeping a low profile since the November 2021 incident at his AstroWorld concert and might not attend the gala. Kanye West is also not expected to attend this year's event after his controversial divorce from Kim.

"It's Anna's party, and just because you're not invited doesn't mean she doesn't like you necessarily — you may not be up to her fashion standards. The tickets are also very expensive. You either need to have $35,000 for a ticket or a designer wants to dress you and pay for you," a source told Page Six. Everyone who buys a table, including good friends like designer Michael Kors, has their guestlist approved by Wintour.

"They can invite who they want, but they run their guests past Anna. And I am sure there are some suggestions. If Anna has had a bad experience with you or doesn't feel like you should be in, you're not invited," added the source. Though it is still not 100% confirmed who may and may not attend from the Kar-Jenner clan, the fans seem excited by the prospect of the whole family being invited to the popular fashion event.

One user tweeted, "I'll be nothing but a sucker for Khloé Alexandra Kardashian because this is HER Met Gala and I know she's here to stay." Another said, "Can't believe the #MetGala is tomorrow and PS. the entire kardashian-jenner family is attending." A third wrote, "the picture of all 6 kardashian / jenner women on the met gala red carpet we’re getting tomorrow will be iconic."

While one user said, "MET GALA DAY OMFG if the rumours are true that allllll the kardashians are going then I mean they’re gonna serve idec especially Kimberly," another commented, "Cannot wait to see all the Kardashians at the #MetGala." A third wrote, "Good news Kim Kardashian Khloé Kardashian Kourtney Kardashian Kris Jenner Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner will be present at the Met Gala 2022 this is the first time the whole family has been invited I'm so excited."

Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who was Wintour's lead on the Met Gala nine times, told Page Six, "Anna's meticulous in her detail. Every detail is thought out and orchestrated. She has a vision, she knows how to execute her vision — and the guests just fall into that. Within that vision there is a brilliancy of truly knowing how to bring the right people together. It's not just about showing up on the red carpet and getting your picture taken. It’s about what happens in that room — it's magical."

"That guest list is so tailored. You can have a million people willing to spend any amount of money on a ticket, but there has to be a reason for you being there, and Anna has such an unbelievably strategic way of getting the right people in the right room at the same time... it's like a chess game and she knows how to play it. She knows everyone in the room, it's like a movie, she's gone over every single name," she added.
