Out of the many new Friday releases, Khalid managed to bag one of the top trending spots over the weekend after he dropped his new tape ‘Scenic Drive’. Loaded with guest features, Khalid took to his Instagram and Twitter accounts to share his latest project. The ‘Better’ hitmaker’s new gift to his fans comes after his 2019 sophomore album ‘Free Spirit’.
Music lovers showered praises on Khalid and loved how the R&B crooner’s new tape was a no-skip project. Khalid had released the single called ‘Present’ from the new tape earlier with an intention to promote his new effort. Speaking of new Friday releases, Olivia Rodrigo’s ex-flame Joshua Bassett dropped three new singles, whereas the iconic Australian pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer too released a new single titled ‘2011’ to mark their 10-year anniversary.

Khalid’s 'Scenic Drive' proves to be a guest-heavy project

Khalid’s last project called ‘Free Spirit’ delivered global hits like ‘Better’, ‘Saturday Nights’, ‘My Bad’ and ‘Talk’. The album had debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 taking the singer to new heights of fame. Speaking of his latest, the 23-year-old singer has tapped biggies like Alicia Keys, 6LACK, Lucky Daye, JID, Majid Jordan, Ari Lennox, Smino, Kiane Lede, and QUIN.
The brand new tape ‘Scenic Drive’ is stacked with nine tracks. Singles namely ‘Backseat’, ‘Retrograde’, and the title track were some of the trending songs from the project over the weekend. Taking to his Instagram, Khalid shared the official cover art of ‘Scenic Drive’ and thanked the collaborators in the caption. “It’s finally out!! Scenic Drive, The Tape out now. Thank you to all of the collaborators on this project, would not have been possible without you. I’m excited for the world to hear this. Which song is your favorite?”

Khalid is also expected to drop his third album, apparently called ‘Everything is Changing’ or ‘Everything Has Changed’, soon. You can stream Khalid’s new tape here.

I haven’t even listened to the whole things yet but you are so incredibly talented and I cannot wait to listen to this everyday. I’m so proud.”
