'Crisis on Infinite Earths': Kevin Conroy's storyline can be better detailed if Arrowverse makes a spin-off series

What struck about him was the troubled past he carried with him as he was the man behind the death of his world's Superman. This could be better explained with a mini-series

'Crisis on Infinite Earths' managed to get all the superheroes under one roof in what could be called the fight for their lives. It was a treat for fans when it was announced Kevin Conroy would be coming in to play Bruce Wayne. A popular icon in the comic industry, Conroy is known for essaying Bruce Wayne in the '90s hit series 'Batman: The Animated Series' and he appears in 'Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part 2' as Bruce Wayne from Earth-99.

What struck about him was the troubled past he carried with him as he was the man behind the death of his world's Superman. In the limited screentime he received in the 'Crisis, there was enough material to convince that Conroy has a story to be told and a limited spin-off series would be a perfect fit. At 64, he may be too old to don the bat suit, but the series could rope in a younger version while Conroy could narrate the story. The plotline could look at why Bruce went dark and dish out a detailed explanation.

There have been enough petitions for the return of a 'Batman Beyond' series and a live-action series might just be the way to do it. According to CBR, Conroy has expressed interest to return to the Arrowverse and the article also sheds light on his falling out with Dick Grayson, Joker's mental torture of Tim Drake and a few other storylines that asks for a spin-off series. The series could also be linked to the current 'Batwoman' series as the 'Crisis' saw him interact with Kate Kane (Ruby Rose). His death in the epic crossover was a shocker and in many ways incomplete, which is all the more a reason for a live-action series to be made.

The Arrowverse has spin-off series planned with 'Green Arrow and the Canaries' and a 'Superman & Lois' in the works. A Batman one featuring Conroy would work well too.

'Crisis on Infinite Earths' returns on January 14, 2020, on The CW.
