Kesha has canceled her tour in support of 'High Road' due to coronavirus concerns, but fans say they are'gonna go psssyyccchoooooo' next year

Kesha has announced she is canceling her 2020 tour with Big Freedia on Friday, May 1 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The extensive 26-date North American tour was in support of her recent studio album 'High Road' (released January 31) was scheduled to begin in Texas on April 23 with dates through to June. New Orleans bounce artist, Big Freedia, would have also joined her at select dates and venues throughout the tour as per Kesha's previous announcement on January 7.

Kesha shared the latest update on the tour on her Instagram, saying, "I’m so sad to announce that I am unable to move forward with rescheduling my 2020 High Road Tour due to health and safety concerns." She described the current situation as "heartbreaking", but "no longer feasible" to tour in 2020. "The safety of my fans and crew is my number one priority," she said. "But that doesn't mean we can’t celebrate and express ourselves together in spirit and online. I will do my best to bring you all as much art and music as I can, as we get through this all together 🙏" she added.

"I truly can’t wait to get back on the road again and play songs from 'High Road' for you," she said before concluding her note with, "Thank you for being here, and for your understanding. Please stay tuned for more info about new tour dates in 2021. I’m going to boogie with you SO hard next year.  Stay well and stay strong, wishing all of you health!  XOXO. at the end of a storm comes a rainbow 🌈 K."

Fans on Twitter were supportive of Kesha's decision. "This is super sad but I totally understand. This is the right decision," says a fan while another wrote, "It's a shame for those who wanted to see you and paid... But it doesn't matter, there will be other occasions, as you said, health and safety first of all." Her fans are still excited and in high hopes of a rescheduled tour. They said when the tour comes back they are "gonna go psssyyccchoooooo" and "ITS GONNA BE F***ING BANANAS!!!"

Kesha's 'High Road' LP released on January 31. It was supported by four singles: 'Raising Hell' which features Big Freedia, 'My Own Dance', 'Resentment', and 'Tonight'.
